Day #37 “Yeah Monday was Really Hard”

I got up today still feeling the workout from Monday.  During the warm – up, I didn’t feel like moving, mostly because I couldn’t.  I wasn’t as sore as yesterday but that’s not saying a whole lot.  Luckily my coach gave me the choice of taking another day of rest instead of doing what’s called the “warrior” 200’s which is pretty much doing 200 m at about 45 then 35 then 44 then 34, etc. until you get to 30.  If you miss 2 splits then your workout is over.  I definitely didn’t feel up to that so I ran with some of the girls who weren’t feeling that great either.  My teammate later joined me because after doing a few of the 200’s he wasn’t feeling well either.  It was a nice day with some awesome weather and a great day for a run.

Tomorrow, I’ll probably do a “tune – up” workout of 3 sets of 3 or 4 400 m fartleks (200 on/200 off) at around 45 – 40 to make up for what I didn’t do today since Friday is a “race” simulation day so I don’t want to kill myself.

Mileage: about 7 miles
