Day #93 “Sand”

“Sand is overrated.  It’s just a tiny little rocks”

You might know this quote from an awesome movie titled Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  If you’ve never seen the movie, go watch it, it’s on Netflix and it’s wonderful.  Just had to say that because it is definitely my favorite romantic movie (and that’s saying a lot).

Anyway, if you didn’t know from yesterday’s post, I wasn’t really looking forward to today’s workout.  It was pretty scary to think about but it was pretty good.  Not having a track to do it on was harder since I had to go off an “internal” pacer, I kind of went of the “if it feels like I’m working then I’m on pace” sort of feel.  The original workout was 1600 – 1200 – 800 – 400 – 800 – 1200 – 1600 modified to (in minutes) 6 – 4 – 3 – 1 -3 -4 -6 “on” with 3 minutes “off” in between as a fartlek since I don’t have access to a track.  It felt pretty good and it felt pretty hard.

Workout:
Warm – Up
6 – 4 – 3 – 1 – 3 – 4 – 6 minute “on” 3 minutes “off” in between
Cooldown

Run Time: 55 minutes
Mileage: about 6 miles
